A quality cricket coaching programme of activities that aims to
develop and grow the game we love, cricket.

How it started

The Rugby Cricket Academy was formed on the basis of improving inclusivity,
opportunities and connection to the game

This comprises of connection between Rugby Cricket Club and local schools,
local businesses and with the local community as a whole.

OUR VISION

To get as many people playing the game as possible. Whether you are a person starting for the first time, or an elite cricketer looking to advance your game to the next level, our academy is the right place for you.

You can book onto any of our coaching programmes or join as a member to benefit from our membership benefits and a reduction in cost per session.

MEMBERSHIP

All members will get 20% discount on equipment bought from our Gray Nichols ClubShop 

All members get priority notice for event bookings such as Masterclasses

Child members get a FREE RCA Sports Water Bottle and 10% discount on Holiday Camp & Masterclass bookings

Adult membership packages include 10% discount on Masterclass bookings

Some membership packages also include an Individualised Personal Development Plan

Our Professional Cricket Coaches & Staff

Wes Landsdale in cricket nets
Wes Landsdale is a coach at Rugby Cricket Club and was previously Director of Sport at King Edward VII Preparatory School based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is an ECB level 3 equivalent coach with first class playing experience in South Africa representing Griqualand West and the Highveld Strikers, as well as playing for Somerset CCC 2nd XI. He is passionate about the development of young cricketers and nurturing the next generation.
Nick Tester Coach in Cricket Nets
Nick Tester is a leading figure in Sport and Education, having been Head of Cricket at Chigwell School and Head of Boy’s Games, Football and Cricket at Ardingly College before taking up his current position at Rugby School. Nick, who is an ECB level 3 coach, has extensive coaching experience in many sports and has previously coached within the Essex County Cricket Academy.
Matt Ewer RCA Business Owner
Matt Ewer is the founder of the Rugby Cricket Academy. He is also club captain of Rugby Cricket Club 1st XI and an ECB Level 2 qualified cricket coach.
Seth Westley Coach in Cricket Nets
Seth Westley plays for Rugby Cricket Club First XI and also plays for Merchants Cricket Club. He is an ECB Level 2 qualified cricket coach and has represented Warwickshire at various age group levels.
Andy Hill Coach in cricket nets
Andy Hill is our specialist Disability Cricket Coach. He is the founder of AJH Cricket and an ECB Level 3 coach with considerable coaching experience at Northants CCC, whilst also having coached the England MLD Squad.
